Woofcast #231

News of the week with db and Todd. Gabe? Oh, don’t worry about him. He’ll be with us tomorrow. I was, in fact, in the middle of dealing with the plague, so I aplogize now for any inordinate mouth breating.

But not tonight. Tonight it’s just Todd & db, hanging out, talking about old time Saturday morning cartoons, me having the plague and taking meds that don’t work, and briefly on the price of gas. All that before getting into news of the week from Motoringfile.com.

Oh yea, WRR should look a little better for you iPhone/iPod touch users. wr.tv will be next, but not until later in the week.

Go back a post and check out the AMVIV Event Cast if you haven’t already, click over to AMVIV.com to see if there are any rooms left on the discounted room rate and to register. Don’t forget, if you want to attend the banquet, you must purchase your ticket before the event.

Finally, be sure to wish our man Todd happy old day this coming Wednesday.

  1. Here goes my attempt at finding the Gabes badges that weren’t produced for the public:

Row 1, 3rd over: 6sp printed on white instead of silver
Row 3, 1st over: Bull Dog printed on white instead of silver
Row 3, 2nd over: 15% printed on white instead of silver
Row 3, 7th over, GB on Union Jack, if it was offered, the font is messed up.
Row 4, 1st over, RAF Roundel, it’s not currently offered
    Row 5, 1st over, Shamrock doesn’t have a boarder
Row 5, 2nd over, R50 printed on white instead of silver
Row 6, 1st over, Red Check printed on silver instead of white
Row 7, 2nd over, Classic Mini printed on silver instead of white

I’m not sure if all of these are right, but maybe there are at least 6 that qualify.

    Yes, I’m a badge fanatic.

  2. dickdavid…

Row 1, 3rd over: 6sp printed on white instead of silver Wrong – just a light reflection
Row 3, 1st over: Bull Dog printed on white instead of silver wrong – same lighting issue
Row 3, 2nd over: 15% printed on white instead of silver wrong
Row 3, 7th over, GB on Union Jack, if it was offered, the font is messed up. CORRECT
Row 4, 1st over, RAF Roundel, it’s not currently offered CORRECT
Row 5, 1st over, Shamrock doesn’t have a boarder wrong
Row 5, 2nd over, R50 printed on white instead of silver wrong
Row 6, 1st over, Red Check printed on silver instead of white CORRECT
Row 7, 2nd over, Classic Mini printed on silver instead of white CORRECT

There are six badges to find. You got 4 correct so far.

  3. The 37 is still in the offered line up – page 1 and the checkered is on the same page. Both of those still sell quite well.

The last two are pretty difficult to spot, at least one of them you probably won’t be able to spot.

    Keep trying.

BTW – a note of nostalgia is that the first four badges ever produced are on that fridge.

  4. Crap. How’d I miss that page?

I mentioned this one earlier and I’m repeating it:

Row 7, 3rd over UJ with “MINI” on it. I haven’t seen that before.

    Also,

Row 1, 1st over another UJ with “MINI” on it. (had to zoom in for that one.)

  5. I’m not sure if it’s the lighting or not… but the MINI United Badge (Right side, bottom row, 4th from left) appears to be on a black background whereas the badge offered has black and silver checks.
