  1. Great show guys! Not sure if you realize that the show posted at Motoring file has more content. Don’t worry, I listened to both.

    1. Thanks Tony!

Was your download in iTunes short? The version in the player here or a copy you downloaded by clicking on the download link? I always double triple check the file to make sure it’s the right version and wait for it to upload completely before I post the show to make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen.

      1. The show I listened to I connected through the link, and not iTunes, my apologies, and I also listened to the one on Motoringfile by clicking on the link. Sorry it just seemed like more content on the one over at MF, which is always a good thing. Although I always listen to your show at least 2-3 times to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Keep up the good work!

  2. OK, to make this easier to find later…the official WRR guesses on R56 GP pricing in this episode:

    Todd: 34.9
    Chad: 36.2
    Nathaniel: 35.5
    db: 33.6
    Gabe: absent

    We’ll see who’s closest!

  3. Hi there! 🙂

I am in mini trouble and was told to email you guys. I am not sure where else to turn for advice. I am desperate for help:

I recently bought a used 2003 mini cooper manual 5-speed on Craigslist. It is in awesome shape, has low miles for the year, and it drove perfectly when my husband test drove it. HOWEVER, while he was teaching me how to just make it start going, I got nervous, dumped the clutch and then revved the gas. Bad move. We heard a big pop sound come from the front passenger side. Figured and hoped it was JUST a broken cv-joint.

My husband replaced the broken cv-joint with a refurbished one last week only for it to break again the same day. We figured it was a bad refurbished cv-joint. He JUST installed the 3rd cv-joint (a brand new one) today and took the mini for a drive, only to have the cv-joint slip, so he drove right back home before it were to break again. He now knows the issue is NOT the cv-joint.

Desperate for an idea or suggestion as to what is causing these cv-joints to break?! Praying it’s not the transmission. We really know nothing about these foreign cars and are trying to Dave money by not taking it to a dealer, but we will if you think we need to!

Thank you SO much for any help you can offer.

    Sincerely,
    Kristy Thomas
