Kicking off 2015 underneath the White Roof! Our 10th year of podcasting, with our actual 10th Anniversary happening in August! Tonight, Todd and I are joined by Chad ([Detroit Tuned](http://www.detroittuned.com)) and Alex, who has been **offically** upgraded from new guy. Congratulations are in order, you guys can do that below.
Otherwise it’s news from Motoringfile like we like to do. 2014 in review, JCW, JCW, nav becomes obsolete and Journey Mate, which is a really cool part of MINI Connected. Oh, are if you are following along on [Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/whiteroofradio), you’ll see we are at NAIAS in Detroit (Go Alex!). Stick around for more coverage later this week.
New year, same sponsors. Why? Because our sponsors are **awesome!** Take a minute, if you haven’t lately, to visit [OutMotoring](http://www.outmotoring.com) and [Craven Speed](http://www.cravenspeed.com). We love it when you do that, and so do they. Also, if you are in need of a calendar, the [MotoringAlliance.com Calendar](http://www.amazon.com/2015-Motoring-Alliance-Cooper-Calendar/dp/B00O1AL158/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420774869&sr=8-1&keywords=mini+cooper+calendar) is still available. I have one and it’s really awesome!
And a hearty thanks to all of you that are adding to the [Patreon](http://www.patreon.com/whiteroofradio)! We really appreciate your support!
RE: No recalls for R50/R53:
The 2002 R50 did have a safety-related recall due to the shift linkage. They flat-bedded our R50 400 miles round trip to the dealer to fix this one way back in the day.

Fortunately ours never failed as described — would have been terrifying if it happened at the wrong moment.
