That whole section on the MINI “Lifestyle” and its community is so right on. I can’t believe how so much of it is true! So much of the stuff I’ve done these last plus-three years of onwership are things I’ve never would have done had I bought a non-MINI, the people I’ve met, the photography recognition (you see one Ford Exploder photo, you’ve seen them all), the events, and, of course, SCMM!!!
Maybe all new MINI onwers should listen to it at the dealer as a prerequisite to signing papers.

hmmmm. There is an interesting idea
I have the “Bonnet Striped MINI T-Shirt” which is a black T-shirt with two white stripes from shoulder to waist on the right side. Other than the very small MINI tag on the side, there is no branding on the shirt. When I first wore it to work, one of my co-workers looked at it quizically and asked, “Is that a MINI shirt?”
I smiled and answered, “Why, yes it is!”
