Todd and I, after arriving in London, rushed out to Oxford in a Sparkling Silver R56 Cooper D. Once we arrived, we got the full tour. Of course, they let us record. Surprisingly, they also let us take pictures!
Nigel gave us our tour and he had answers to all of our questions and gave us more information than we knew what to do with! it was truly amazing to watch MINIs getting built and learn how it’s all done.
You can see all of the pictures in my flickr stream if you haven’t already.
It was a great experience and highly recommended if you ever get the chance! HUGE thank you to everyone involved in making this happen for us.

Great photos! Some of the best I’ve seen to come out of Oxford.

Thanks Robert!
Todd, db: Great soundseeing tour in the factory. You boys did me proud! Well narrated, Todd. I could picture the cars being built, especially the guy at the end jumping around checking glass, etc. Your tour guide was exceptional. He has quite the British accent, what? (And the female sounded cute!!).
For my money, WRR and MF lived up to expectations for the entire MINI United event. Between the podcasts, interviews, photos and now the factory tour and other wrap-up stuff: Well done – terrific series.
Now, can you get me on the ‘A’ list for the next go-round?? Eh?

Great job, guys!!
I’m so jealous! Will have to factor in a factory tour for MU2009. Or, maybe stop over on my way to the US next year… See the Clubman being built!
This was one of the best WRR episodes I’ve heard in a while – well done Todd/DB 🙂
