Main Topic – Don’t be stupid. Warranty issues with modifications, upgrades and tracking your MINI

Sorry for the delay gang. Todd had tickets to a game that he just couldn’t pass up.

The don’t be stupid show…

  • Gabe is recovering from his 30th birthday celebration
  • db schools gabe on getting old
  • -Hey fellas…make sure you’re seeing the doc at 35. Don’t go ’cause you are sick, go because you should.
  • Warranty issues because of mods you have done to your MINI
  • Be nice to your dealer, particularly your Service Advisor
  • Keep in mind, mods or track time can void your warranty. Your dealer may do what they can, but if they get MINI envolved, there might be problems
  • Lawyers make matters worse. No offense to the lawyers.
  • Don’t be paranoid. It is OK to mod your MINI. Just some things to keep in mind
  • Mods won’t void your warranty 100%.
  • Ask your dealer if they will install your mods.
  • Be nice!!!!!
  • New sponsor

Coming soon will be the club event spotlight for March and db has recruited Robert in Canada to be an official correspondant for WhiteRoofRadio. Watch for his stuff to start showing up soon.

Main Topic – ’07 MINI’s, GP talk and Todd gets technical

Thanks to the guys for carrying on without me for this episode. I’m sure you heard db breaking up pretty good at the beginning of the show, so I took one for the team and stepped out.

  • Recorded on Gabe’s birthday. He is such a giver!
  • Gabe gets JCW brakes
  • More GP talk and video released
  • 2007 MINIs will show up at dealers in Feb. ’07
  • Todd hates the traveler wheels
  • Todd gets technical with words like hubcentric and lugcentric
  • Gabe and Todd both like road hazard warranties.
  • The Traveler definitely gets and extra side door.
  • The VW podcasts are awful as are the BMW vodcasts.
  • Pants-less podcasting.
  • More audio reviews coming up soon.
  • Another audio clip from Robert in Toronto.

MF Audio Review – MCS Automatic

Motoringfile audio review of the MINI Co0per S Automatic

Gabe gives his take on the automatic version of the MINI Cooper S.

“As a follow-up to the recent MotoringFile VW GTI review (and previous MCSa review) I thought I’d offer up my thoughts on the automatic Cooper S while behind the wheel. In some ways demonstrating why the GTI’s DSG is so superior as well as showing why the automatic may not be the best choice for the MINI owning control freaks out there.”
