Woofcast 678: The MINI You Loved to Hate

For our final show of 2021, we spend more than a fair share of time talking about the leaked 2024 MINI SE photos and the rest of the time talking about electric cars in general. Plus, a few other stories from MotoringFile.com. Oh, and we might have been drinking sometime during or before this episode. We finish off talking about Todd’s new MINIs.

As mentioned, this is the last episode of 2021. We do have an inteview with Mike Peyton from the LA Auto that Gabe did a few weeks ago that I’m going to be sharing with you, if you promise to use headphones. Also, there is an episode of Black Roof, if you know the secret hand shake. I am working on a better way to get that, coming very soon!

All stories we talked about linked up below!

Woofcast 677: BMW M5 CS vs MINI Cooper JCW vs the MINI Cooper

Let’s start by talking about Bridger’s DQ at Thermal. I was there and can verify what the line judge saw. That is not to say that he did not have the quickest run of the day, because he did. Then lets remember The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, as we originally discussed during Woofcast 21 (yes, it’s there). If you are new here, this is a great insight into the history of White Roof Radio.

Since the last time we met, it was just Gabe and I at BMW MINI Test Fest (now with updated audio, as promised!), we spent some time disucssing the cars we drove in more detail. Man, that M5CS was truly an amazing automobile! We also get some time to really talk about the updated MINI Cooper, which I thought was amazing!

As mentioned above, the audio for Woofcast 676 has been updated, if you had a hard time listening. Winter tire show is forthcoming and, really, get back in the habit of listening until the end and make sure you are following @whiteroofradio on Twitter.

Woofcast 676: BMW MINI Test Fest

You probably already saw that Gabe and I were at BMW MINI Test Fest this week. We recorded some time in some very cool cars, but, most importantly, we got an interview with Mike Peyton and our pal Pat McKenna. I wanted to get this out to you guys quickly. Next show might be delayed because Todd is going to SEMA and you know he is taking his recording gear!

Photos can be found @whiteroofradio and @motoringfile Instagram accounts. And we will be talking JCW and electric MINI when we come back!

Woofcast 675: The Cheapest Mod to Make You Feel Alive

So, wrong show number not withstanding, this is Woofcast 675 and we do not mess around, getting right to it. The lack of window controls on the F56 in the center, not needing to double pull door handles and Gabe with his software issues. Oh, and electronic e-brake. Pour one out for the reverse J-Turn.

On to a bunch of Ask Chad. Like, mods, mods, MODS! We know we need to come back to this further, and we will. But this was a great place for us to start! Especially remembering about doing a rear sway bar upgrade. Roxy had that and it was an amazing mod #becauseRaceCar.

Thank you to everyone for taking the survey! We really appreciate it. It has been closed, but if you are interested in checking out the results, they are still live for a bit longer using the link in the last 2 shows.

Finally, don’t forget Todd, Chad or Gabe when it comes to needing news, graphics or anything else for your MINI! Links are below. * http://www.motoringstripes.com * https://www.detroittuned.com * https://www.motoringfile.com

Woofcast 674: 85 Years of White Roof Radio

Y’all came this close (db pinches fingers) to getting an actual gin show this week. Instead, Gabe was able to join us so we talked about MINI stuff instead! Since Gabe joined us, we allowed him to wax poetic about his 2020 JCW Clubman (spoiler alert: he loves it) and we answer listener email! Oh, and you guys already watched the Goodwood Mini Race already, right? Spoil yourself, put it on the TV. Trust us.

And, one more reminder about the survey. It only takes a few minutes and we would really love your feedback. You can click through and check it out at the link below.

Woofcast 673: What makes the F56 Best MINI Ever

This week, I decided we should spend some time talking about the NFL engines that are in the current generation of MINIs; the B38 from the Cooper and the Chevy 350 of BMW engines, theb48 from just about everything. Luckily, we managed to get Gabe to join in the discussion. Hopefully you enjoy!

Are you a mechanic? Live in Detroit? Know a mechanic in Detroit? Want to work for one of the most prominent MINI Cooper shops on the planet? Send your CV over to Detroit Tuned (resume@). Chad would love to talk to you, 3,000%.

A HUGE thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey so far. We really appreciate you taking the time to provide us your amazing answers. We are still looking at you that haven’t filled it out yet. It is pretty short, anonymous and a bunch of the questions aren’t even required. If you could, we would appreciate it. Oh, and who is looking for the full version of our awesome theme music that Todd created for us? You can grab that from the server.

Woofcast 672 – Good in Small Doses

Full crew this week and we jump right into Gabe’s first impression of the 2021 MINI Convertible. He spent 1,000 miles with it and thought it was a great car. Watch for his upcoming review at MotoringFile. Plus a whole bunch of other MINI stuff that we actually got to talk about. Sweet!

Don’t forget to check out MotoringStripes and Detroit Tuned. And, if you would be so kind to take a few minutes to fill out the survey, we would really, REALLY, appreciate it.
