I had the opportunity to interview Luis Parocarpi from Lap Motorsports before he headed south of the border for a Rally in this fine looking Countryman. We talked about the success at Daytona, the challenges of Sebring, a little history and the rally in the desert.

Last week we had the privilege of interviewing Stephen Simpson, one of the drivers of the MINI JCW Racing Team.
It was a great conversion not only because Stephen’s a great guy, but also because we learned so much about how the team came about and what made it successful.
The one thing that surprised us the most is the level of fan support the team received during the season. Of note they took the second place finish at Road Atlanta, the last race of the season.
And if you want to re-watch the race, it will air on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) tomorrow (check your local listings for time).
During #mtts2014, we were able to speak with Chris Potgieter, MINIUSA Product Manager about questions that were submitted to Motoringfile as well as a few we had. As always, Chris was very forthcoming with details that he knew about and could speak about.

The MINI you see above, the JCW Paceman, was the topic for this weeks show, along with a few other nuggets from the NAIAS in Detroit, news from MotoringFile and even an Ask Chad question. WRR HQ in Kansas experienced technical difficulties, so you don’t get that. What you do get are some fantastic interviews that Gabe and Nathaniel did while at the NAIAS with some of the who’s who at MINI and MINIUSA!
