WRR Army Water Pistol Attack

Jim McDowell. Head Motorer & MINI USA Chief. He’s a swell guy. I mean, he drove from New Jersey to LA in a convertible along with the rest of us. Got everyone to sign his MINI that will probably go on display at MINIUSA HQ. And he is a bit of a prankster.

During the first few days of MINI Takes the States, out of nowhere there was a cold and wet sensation felt by many of the attendees. It wasn’t rain or a leaky roof, it was Jim sneakily squirting people with a water pistol. If you were hit, you looked around to see him giggling to himself as he moved on to his next victim.

A brilliant idea was hatched to retaliate! We would weaponize the WRR Army for a surprise attack in Chicago during the rise and shine meeting. MTTS 2012 Update

Todd and I had the opportunity to speak with Caryn Grun, MINI Events Manager for MINI USA along with Michael Johnston, a Para-Triathlon athlete competing in the 2016 Para Olympics, live from the New York Auto Show. Details like an update to the route through Colorado and conformation that there will be an autoX component at 3 stops during MINI Takes the States. We also found out where MTTS will be kicking off from; MINI USA Headquarters in New Jersey!

Registration opens tomorrow at minitakesthestates.com. Make sure to get yourself registered and keep yourself tuned in to White Roof Radio and Motoringfile for all of your MTTS details as they become available!

We are seeing requests for more information to help with planning your time with MTTS. We have a route and dates. What more are you looking for? Let us know in the comments and we’ll do our best to find out.

MTTS Route Map

Going on MTTS? Looking for something to get you even more excited about it while you wait for Woofcast 346? Have an iPhone/iPad/Android device and can’t access the MTTS website? Well Ladies and Gents, We’ve got you covered.

I have set up a page for MTTS Updates that is mobile friendly! It’s the same pages from the MTTS site, so when they update them there, they will update here as well. Go ahead, check it out. NOTE You will have to switch the mobile theme off for the page to display correctly. Once you do that, it should show up on your mobile device.

A few more pre-MTTS notes for you. If you are using an iPhone, open the app store and download the MINI Link app. If you are using any smart phone, now would be a good time to embrace Twitter. Once you do that, you can follow all of the WRR boys here. You can also get updates for MTTS from MINI USA by following @MTTS2010, @MTTS2010_east (if you are coming in from east of the Rockies) or @MTTS2010_west if you are coming in from west of the Rockies.

Woofcast 346 will be ready later today.
