I’ve mentioned this before, but perhaps it’s worth mentioning again:
I bought the JCW Sound Kit based mainly on Todd’s WRR review. If you’re thinking about the Sound Kit, check out Todd’s excellent review. I’ve had the SK installed for just over a year, and it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive my MINI.
According to nearly every source I’ve been able to dig up regarding the horsepower gains, it seems as though the figure most people agree upon is a 0-3hp increase from the intake, exhaust and ECU reprogramming combined.
Regarding the JCW Tuning Kit for the R50, it existed, and here’s a link to the brochure (hosted on MF) complete with a list of the upgrades it offers:

I considered the Tuning Kit, priced it out somewhere between $5-6k installed, and ultimately decided that I’d have to pass. But, if money were no object (and a TK could even be found at this point), it would be a must-have for someone in love with their R50.
