Thanks for answering my Ask Chad question. As a follow up, the new gas pedal worked for about 5 weeks until the problem showed up again. The car shut down twice on a rainy day giving me an additional code of P0638. We are now trying a new throttle body. 5 days into it and so far so good, but the weather has also been dry.
As I write this, I just thought about the open element air filter. It’s the style that’s open near the firewall and draws air in through the cowl vent. Chad, could this be contributing to my problem? Unfortunately I can’t remember if it was a wet day the first time I had the problem. Thanks!
